Minha mãe que disse - NY com crianças, fugindo do óbvio

For my Portuguese speaking readers: I've written a post, that was published today, for the super cool Brazilian website Minha mãe que disse.
The post is about tips of what to do/see in New York while visiting with young children, escaping a little bit from the traditional tourist guides.

Tempting invitation

As I posted here, I really like the art work of Vahram Muratyan. Paris and New York are most probably my favorite cities in the world. And I just love the simple, smart and funny comparison he makes between the two of them. Therefore, when I saw the invitation on Vahram Muratyan's blog, I was immediately tempted on going.
Anyone wants to join me?

Tough day = inspiration for a new logo

Now that my two little monsters, hum, angels are sleeping, I can finally relax. With no company, since my husband is in for a long night of work at the office, I'm here just strolling around the internet.

Look at this fantastic idea for a date. Oh, how I'd like to know how to cook like her, take nice pictures like her and have a husband that would come home early for a date.

In the meantime, since I can't have any of those. I've decided to draft a new logo for my blog.

What do you think?

Logo option #1
Logo option #2
I know they look very amateurishly, but this is what this blog is all about. Still, I accept suggestions and I can keep sketching more strollers if you don't like either.
Please, please, tell me!!

Does melancholy attracts melancholy?

Today I feel melancholic. I woke up just fine and started my day as usual. Fed my kids breakfast, put F into his school bus, finished breakfast with P and went to my Pilates class (love, love, love!). Afterwords, I went grocery shopping. And, suddenly, while I was "strolling" (my favorite word lately) in the supermarket, a big feeling of sadness took me by surprise. I can't explain what was the trigger, I just know that by the time I arrived at the register I was almost bursting into tears. Does this happen to you or am I just weird?

As soon as I got back home, P's smile and happiness pushed away all my feelings of sadness (I'm convinced that children are magicians). As I was scrolling through the blogs list I usually like to follow, I saw this post about "melancholy". It's not exactly the same kind of melancholic feelings I felt earlier this morning, but still I thought it was pretty close. Hence my question in the title of this post. Was it because I felt melancholic that I clicked on this specific post instead of another? Or is it just a melancholic day? I would probably go with the first explanation.

It was actually a happy coincidence, because by reading what Marina Pontieri had to say I discovered the amazing Dear Photograph. Isn't that a great idea?
